Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about how Limit Break Diamond works. Don't see your question? Reach out — we reply within 24 hours.

Bat Rolling

Does bat rolling actually work?
Yes. Composite barrels are engineered to break in after 300–500 quality hits. Rolling simulates that break-in with controlled, uniform compression. We measure compression before and after on a G4 SSL certified tester so you see the actual change. See our full breakdown of the science.
Is bat rolling legal?
Rolling for personal use is legal. League rules vary — some sanctioned play prohibits rolled bats and tests compression at the field. Check your league rulebook before ordering. We don't provide services intended to circumvent league rules. See our legal breakdown.
What bats can be rolled?
All composite and composite-barrel hybrid bats for baseball and softball — BBCOR, USSSA, USA, slowpitch, fastpitch. Not compatible: aluminum or alloy bats (rolling only affects composite fiber structure) and wood bats.
Standard vs. Heated Rolling — which do I want?
Standard ($45): room-temperature compression, works for most bats, 20–30 lb typical drop. Heated ($55): controlled heat applied before each pass, opens the fiber matrix more deeply, maximum break-in. Recommended for two-piece composite designs and high-end models. Drop ranges: 30–50 lbs USSSA, 20–40 lbs BBCOR.
Will my bat crack?
Extremely rare and almost always from pre-existing internal damage not visible on the surface. We photograph every bat on arrival before any work begins. If we spot pre-existing damage we contact you before proceeding. See our service policy for damage claims.
Will rolling void my manufacturer warranty?
Most manufacturer warranties exclude bats that have been modified. Rolling may technically void your warranty if the bat ever needs to be returned to the manufacturer for unrelated reasons. This is your call to make — we can't reverse the decision.

Glove Break-In

Why don't you steam gloves?
Steaming forces open leather fibers with heat and moisture, accelerating breakdown over time. Padding can droop toward the fingers, the heel loses structural integrity, and the glove ages prematurely. We use professional conditioning oil + a Mitt Master pneumatic press for the same softening result without the long-term damage. Full anti-steam breakdown here.
Standard vs. Game Ready — what's the difference?
Standard (~60% broken in): pocket shaped and formed, glove is flexible and usable, some natural break-in remains. Game Ready (~85% broken in): fully shaped pocket, deep flex, laces loosened, conditioner applied. Ready to use in a game immediately. Game Ready adds $20.
Can you break in any glove?
Virtually all baseball and softball gloves — all positions, all brands (Rawlings, Wilson, Mizuno, Easton, Marucci, etc.), leather and premium synthetic. Youth through pro models. Contact us first if you have a vintage glove or anything unusual.
What information do I need to give you about my glove?
When you order a glove break-in, the product page has a customization form. We'll ask for: throwing hand (RHT/LHT), position, pocket style preference, wearing style, hinge preference, and any special requests. The more detail you give us, the better the result.
Do you offer relacing or repair?
Not yet — we're focused on break-in only at launch. Relacing is on the roadmap. If you need relacing today, we can recommend a specialist.

Shipping & Turnaround

How fast can you turn my order around?
Standard turnaround: 3–5 business days from when we receive your gear. Rush (+$20): 1–2 business days from receipt. Both timelines count from when your package arrives at our location, not from order placement.
How do I ship my equipment to you?
After ordering, you'll receive an email with our shipping address and instructions. Use a tracked carrier (USPS Priority, UPS, or FedEx). Pack bats in a padded bat bag or box; wrap gloves in a towel or bubble wrap. Include your name and order number inside the package. Add insurance for items valued over $200.
Is return shipping included?
Yes. Return shipping is included in every service price via USPS Priority Mail with tracking. You only pay to ship gear to us.
Where are you located?
Prosper, TX (just north of Frisco). We ship nationwide. Our shipping address is provided by email after order placement to manage incoming volume.

Local Pickup (DFW Area)

Do you offer local pickup?
Yes — if you're in the Prosper / Frisco / north Dallas area, text us at (972) 433-5618 before ordering. We'll arrange a meet at a public location and apply the LOCAL10 discount code (10% off).
How quickly can I get my gear back with local pickup?
Often same-day or next-day depending on workload. We'll text you a pickup time once your work is complete. No shipping wait either direction.

Payment & Discounts

What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Shop Pay. Standard secure checkout via Shopify Payments.
Do you have any discounts?
Sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of any page to get 15% off your first order (code WELCOME15, $30 minimum). Refer a friend and you both get 10% off (REFER10). Local pickup customers get LOCAL10 (10% off). See our Rewards page for details.
Can I use multiple discount codes?
One discount code per order. If you have multiple, use the largest. Discount codes don't stack with each other but they do apply to all qualifying items in your cart.

Damage, Returns, & Disputes

What if my bat or glove is damaged during processing?
We photograph every item on arrival and document any pre-existing wear. If damage clearly results from our process (not pre-existing), we'll discuss resolution — typically a refund of the service fee and/or replacement assistance. Damage claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery. Full policy on the Service Policy page.
Can I cancel my order?
If you haven't shipped your gear yet, contact us within 24 hours of ordering for a full refund. Once we've received and started work, the service is non-refundable.
Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?
If you receive your bat or glove and it doesn't feel right, contact us within 7 days. We'll work with you to make it right — usually a follow-up pass on the equipment or, in rare cases, a service refund. Customer satisfaction matters more than the policy.
