Limit Break Diamond was founded in Prosper, TX by a baseball player and parent who got tired of watching players underperform because their equipment was not properly prepared. A brand-new composite bat out of the box is operating at maybe 60% of its potential. A glove that has never been broken in is fighting the player at every turn.

We built Limit Break Diamond to fix that — with professional-grade equipment, proven processes, and craftsmanship that shows in every bat we roll and every glove we shape.

Professional-Grade Equipment

Every bat rolling order goes through our professional compression rolling system, and every barrel is tested before and after with our G4 SSL certified compression tester — the same standard used by league officials at the field. You get the actual numbers, not guesswork.

Our glove break-in is pneumatic press shaping + hand mallet work only on new gloves - no conditioning oil (that is reserved for aged glove restoration) — the same machine used by the top break-in operations in the country — to form a true position-specific pocket — not steaming, which can damage leather fibers and cause padding to droop, and not the microwave-and-squeeze method you find on YouTube. We work with the leather the right way.

Why No Steaming?

We get asked about this a lot. Steaming a glove opens the leather fibers rapidly with heat and moisture — which sounds good until you understand the downsides. Steam can cause:

• Leather fibers to dry out and become brittle over time
• Padding to shift or droop toward the fingers
• Loss of structure in the heel and web
• Premature aging of the leather

Instead we use pneumatic press shaping as the entire break-in method for new gloves - physical pressure that forms the pocket the way years of catch would, without cooking the leather. We do not use conditioning oil on new gloves - oil bonds to the collagen fibers and never fully comes out (see our blog on why over-oiling is the biggest DIY mistake). Oil is reserved for aged glove restoration only. The glove lasts longer, holds its shape better, and its natural moisture stays intact. That is why we do it this way.

Transparent and Honest

We photograph every item when it arrives. We test before we touch it. If something is not right, you hear from us immediately — before we proceed, not after. We also tell you the truth: some leagues prohibit rolled bats in sanctioned play, and we are not here to help anyone circumvent their league rules.

We are based in Prosper, TX and ship nationwide. Drop your bat or glove in the mail and we will have it back to you in 3–5 business days — rolled, broken in, tested, and ready to perform.

How we operate (service model)

Limit Break Diamond is a service-first business, not a retail storefront. We do not have a walk-in location, and that is intentional. Our workshop is a private, climate-controlled space in Prosper where every bat and glove gets personal attention from the person who owns the business. Here is how customers get gear to us:

• Mail-in (nationwide): Ship your bat or glove to our receiving address at The UPS Store, 900 S. Preston Rd, Ste 50 MB 514, Prosper, TX 75078. We collect packages daily. This is a legitimate commercial mail receiving agency (CMRA) address — not a residence — chosen specifically because it provides reliable, insured package handling for the gear our customers trust us with.
• Local drop-off at the same UPS Store: DFW customers can walk in and tell the front desk they are leaving a package for mailbox 514. We pick up on daily runs.
• Local meetup (DFW): By prior appointment, we meet customers at 1180 N Coit Rd, Prosper, TX. Order the Local Drop-Off / Meetup product on our site, then text (972) 433-5618 when you arrive and we come out within a few minutes.

Equipment and credentials

• Compression testing is performed on a G4 SSL certified compression tester, the industry-standard tool used by league officials at tournament fields.
• Bat rolling uses a professional compression roller with perpendicular and parallel passes.
• Glove break-in uses a Mitt Master pneumatic press — the same equipment used by the leading glove break-in operations in the United States.
